Memorial Gardens
The Memorial Gardens of the Sisters of the Holy Family were created to honor the memories of those friends and family that have departed. The Memorial Gardens were developed in 1995 on the sunrise side of the Motherhouse grounds. The Gardens continue to be a source of great solitude, peace and fond memories for all its visitors. There are currently 53 memorials and three sponsor plaques in the gardens. Many of the Sisters walk through the Memorial Gardens and remember the deceased in prayer.

A memory marker bears the name(s) of the deceased and the donor’s name, and is placed in the area the donor selects. Each person is also remembered in the Memorial Gardens book kept in the Sisters' Community Room overlooking the gardens.
You can remember a loved one with a living plant, tree or shrub, along with a 4” x 8” memorial marker for a donation of $300; the name of the remembered loved one will also be placed in the memorial book. For donations of $25 to $299 we can place a shrub or plant in the Gardens and the name of the remembered will be placed in the memorial book. If you would like to remember a loved one, please contact the Development Department, at 510-624-4580. or click here to email.
Your donations support the Sisters in serving God’s people and in caring for our members.
