Sister Marie Ann Brent received the St. Francis of Assisi Award at a banquet in Anchorage February 11, 2010

The St. Francis of Assisi Awards, instituted in 2001 in honor of Archbishop Emeritus Francis T. Hurley, recognize individuals and groups who exemplify the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi Those that receive this award have demonstrated their compassionate, generous and consistent giving of their time, talent and treasure face for the good of the local Church and all God's children.

Several of Sister Marie Ann's parishioners from Valdez attended the banquet to witness Sister's special award.
